I just created a 52GB partition on one of my drives for windows 7 - after installing I only have 20GB free. Does windows 7 really use that much space or is there something I'm missing here?

When I get combined infor for all the folders on the c: drive it comes to 12GB, can't figure out where the missing space has gone!

Load the correct Windows 7 drivers from the Snow Leopard install disk.

I did that first thing after installing windows, and I updated the drivers to 3.1. Drive shows same amount of free space from within osx. Very odd.

Have you checked the hidden system folders? Get Treesize and check where the space is?

Happened with me too! I also rebooted from disk when I was supposed to let the installation complete by itself. Running very smooth with VMware and my new MBP now!
