Hi is there something on windows seven where I could write down like something to do for a specific date and as it gets closer to that date i'd get like a pop up reminding me of my things I need to do. Like calendar with pop ups? Im a student so like i'd use it for assignment hand in dates etc. If win 7 dont have wat is the best software?

Thunderbird + lightening extention :)

You then have local calendar on PC, and can import from Google Calendar (or any other iCal source).

Google Calendar! It can e-mail, SMS and pop-up. And you should be using Gmail for your email anyway.

I also use Google Calendar, just load all entries on my phone, sync it on my PC and it's available from anywhere

You can use the Task Scheduler to create popups, iirc. I don't know if it is the best, but I'm pretty sure it can do what you want.

It's under Accessories->System tools.

Just choose create a Basic Task and go through the wizard.
