Windows 7 pre-lease discounts

Think I'll keep this cursed Vista Business OS on my laptop for now.

More interested in Ubuntu 9.10....hey, maybe that is why Micro$oft is treating SA so bad?! The evil Ubuntu OS originated here. :)
 
i really dont believe this ... why do people insist on getting ripped off ... to think if they bought R4M worth of stock, certainly they would be able to retail the copies for much less than any small retailer, because at that price point they'd get a decent discount from MS ... this is blatant robbery ... making a profit is business but not when your price is R400 more than what anyone else is retailing them for

Whilst I agree with you guys on IC's insane pricing, the reason they sell is because they can afford to write the R4m cheque to have the product available so that when you walk in you get your copy.

Unfortunately most of our net sellers seem to run on shoe-sting budgets and only order product when you do. And while I understand this for some specalized PC component, they should be able to carry some stock for a milestone launch such as Win 7. Which clearly most don't if you try to actually buy Win 7 from these guys.... pre -order, on back order, out of stock, out of stock with supplier, order cancelled etc etc.

At some point that extra R500 becomes less of a rip off!
 
got my win 7 delivered to me door :) and yes there are 2 dvds in the packaging. Now to reformat my windows 7rc and install the dvd
 
yeah, read through this thread and none the wiser about what dsp is... some people assume we all know definitions

Where did you see the delivery fee being R250? We delivery to JHB, CPT, DBN central areas for R60. If you PM me your area code I can look at what the cost will be for you.

I used the quote system after adding the item to my basket. I live in Durban South (30 minutes from central) but still within the municipality. I've already made my purchase from kalahari (who where free on delivery). I also e-mailed you guys (using the form on your site) 3 weeks ago to ask if the items you had were DSP or retail but no one responded.

Than all you needed to do was download a copy, and you were good to go.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for your Windows , and which version?

Anyone u know of looking for Win 7 Keys, send them my way.
