Windows 7 Home Premium (32bit + 64bit) Retail - R551
Just to be clear, does the upgrade pricing includes upgrading from XP?
I blame Microsoft SA, but not for the public retail prices, but for not offering the pre-release discounted versions to SA distributors/retailers. The majority of (all?) SA retailers have only started offering Windows 7 in the last week, which means, to me, that they were never offered the pre-released discounted versions to sell. I'm signed up with several distributors and they definitely never got pre-release discounted copies to sell.
Incredible Connection's prices are high, but that's not at all unexpected - all their prices are high, for everything. Always have been.
Yip, MS suggests a fresh XP install and SP3 before you upgrade. Best to google on other experiences first
Clicking on that says "Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade (32-bit + 64-bit) Retail"![]()
Oops lol, still a deal if you have XP or Vista.
Carefull!!
Read where it says Microsoft windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade ( from homebasic )
EDIT: From sybaritic site
i walked into incredible connection and the sales guy came up to me. I told him their home premium is too expensive other retailers are selling it for R1399 incl. He being a clever guy said he will ask his manager if they can match the price. I told him because of his initiative i will take it if he can. The manager on the other hand is a real ****. Before the sales guy could even finish his sentence to him, he said: 'no we dont do price reductions with a straight face and walked on' ... What lovely customer interaction![]()
