Windows 7 Ultimate RC1 Build 7058

Why what did vista do so wrong?

Vista served me really and i love it but windows 7 is just faster basically and thats all :).

I would rather use vista than xp and not windows 7 instead of vista :).

Guys, how much disk space does a fresh install use??? Want to run it on the Asus Eee, thanks!

The 64 bit version of 7057 has now leaked too. There is no 7058 btw, that was a typo on this thread I assume.

Ekhaat we all friends mate i am sure we can link people without telling them to google.

Ye of course we can it's just that it's actually harder to make a post and wait for a reply than to just google it. Doesn't make sense you know, unless you need a local link, but those all need passwords thesedays so if someone could get it they'd know the only places they can go anyway.

Yea dude email your email addy.

Ekhaat not everyone can afford to download 4gb of international torrents and not everyone knows about newshost :)

But it doesn't help to know about newshost unless you have an account, in which case you know about it already.. I was thinking. :P I didn't even know you got invites there, but I don't have any yet, probably because I hardly use mine. I've already given the account to someone else.

Microsoft updates its product schedule

According to Russian website Wzor, Microsoft has updated its 2010 Technical Adoption Program schedule and has provided new dates for major Windows 7 builds among other Microsoft products.

As of now, the latest build of Windows 7 is 7061 which was released on March 11th. Microsoft plans to send internal Release Candidate builds of its upcoming operating system to select testers in the last week of April. Meanwhile, the public will receive Windows 7 RC1 and Windows Server 2008 RC2 during the last week of May.

Microsoft's delay of the Windows 7 Release Candidate build won't necessarily push back the final retail release, but will merely give testers more time to point out problems and provide feedback. There are a handful of new updates expected with the RC build over the current beta builds which have been detailed by the company here.

Build 7057 is an internal PRE-release RC1 build...as stated by http://www.neowin.net/news/main/09/03/12/windows-7-build-7057-shows-up-in-the-wild

Well so far been using 7057 (x64) and it works quite well. Except Media Center and WMP 12 crashes. However using other applications instead seems to be the only solution. *For me at least*

I love this build by far
