Windows 7 Ultimate RC1 Build 7058

n00b question: if you were install one of these beta releases, would you need to reinstall when Win7 is officially released?

No, you would merely chose the upgrade feature when installing the officially released version.

I would rather format with the final version though, the update feature is in beta too atm. :p But it will most likely work, I just prefer a fresh format especially after betas/random builds.
 
Yea as well, i will format my drive when i get the released version for sure :)

I cannot wait for the release i must admit so they can fix punkbuster because dual booting is rubbish.
 
Please excuse my ignorance, but is there a limit on the latest buld of Windows 7 x64?

Such as 180 days or whatever?

I would love to give Win7 a go, because I love Vista.
FWIW, my last bluescreen appeared while using WindowsXP SP3...

Vista has been so good to me, I'd like to try her sister...

If you get the new versions they only expire in 2010 or something.

If you like vista your going to go crazy for windows 7. Takes awhile to adjust because its very similar but so many little things that make it much better than vista :). Bare in mind though punkbuster does not work with windows 7 so if you play online games that require it you will need to dual boot :)

There is now x64 as well (busy downloading :D) and for the first time an All SKU's build, meaning you can install something besides Ultimate. But the only keys available are for ultimate so you're still stuck there.
