Windows 8 upgrade version conundrum

Make sure AHCI is turned on in the bios. You may have to reinstall windows if you didnt enable it in the first place.

Got the same drive. This little puppy gets me into windows in about 8 seconds! Oh yeah
 
I just bought it at a friend's house as I have Afrihost :mad: and got it for R135. Im back home now and wanna download but now it has a error again. Anyone know where I can get the ISO?

I used my 3G to do the purchase and get the app started. Once it said "Continue" to download I switched to Afrihost. I just did the entire install using Afrihost from that point.

I did it last night on the wife lappie and it worked. Install is now finished and the best thing is her lappie was running Windows7 Starter!!!!

So much for the $14.99 upgrade not working on Starter (and so much for Esquire claiming their upgrade is not compatible with Starter !!!)

select not to keep my files is practically a fresh install.

And I just got another promo code :) ... they really do not validate the data you enter.

I also remember M$ saying they want to make Win8 more affordable as they have nothing to loose by doing so. Actually its the only way for them to keep users. I don't mind paying for my OS, but I do prefer paying as little as possible.

They might validate the data you entered against the data you enter when you buy Win 8 against your payment details !
 
downloaded windows 8, ran setup, uninstalled incompatiable progams, continued setup, installed, was just finishing personalizing my profile and it gave me an error and rolled it back to windows 7.

I have an original windows 7.

Choose not to sign in with a microsoft account, use a local account and it will work.
 
Did the $15 performance on a test PC running a copy of illegit W7 without a hitch.
Downloading now.

At this price I'll be recommending it to all clients who'd like to get legit.
 
Hi all.

I recently purchased Windows 8 from Incredible connection at the price of R699.
I then heard that all the installations were upgrades only and it made me a bit concerned to be honest.

I received my new 2GB hard drive this afternoon and decides to find out if I could do a clean installation and low and behold I could.
I installed the 64-bit version with the windows 8 product key provided and now I am telling my story.

So far so good and it looks quite nice too. Must still get used to the new start screen.

I don't want to rain on your parade but:

The problem is that you are not really legit. If they audited you tomorrow you would fail because you can't supply the Windows 7 license. So while it may seem like you are legit, you may as well just use a pirate version. They could release an update that requires that you put in the Windows 7 key and the blocks those that don't. Also, what are you going to do if you upgrade your motherboard and they lock you out?
 
I would have liked a new shiny SSD but they are a bit pricy for now and I could not wait much longer as my other HDD is busy dying. I also do not require that much space.
