windows mobile 6.1 issue

Need some help I am running windows 7 64bit and syncing my laptop with my HTC TYtN running windows mobile 6.1

I sync the phone no problems and then use it as a modem using the stabdard internet connection program.
it works
then after that my laptop keeps saying usb device not recognised and I cannot get it to sync or to use the phone as a modem.
please can comeone help

I have tried but don't know where to begin I cannot google the whole issue, also I am on my cellphone ATM
