MacBook Pro.
I have a 2011 version i7 8GB RAM. It crashed last year, but because of an inherent Apple problem they replaced the logic board free of charge - on a 5 year old machine.
While the MBP was in for repairs I used a Lenovo laptop. Same processor, 12GB RAM, same GPU. As dead as a door nail compared to MBP, and the screen was useless for photo edits. OK the Lenovo does not cost R50k, but I understand why the MBP does.
Amazing too what a little thing like a back lit keyboard does.
Apple things just integrate far better with each other
I don't have regular multiple GB updates, sometimes losing access to my work for 2 or more hours.
It's sturdy, solid and easy to work with.

If offered for free - MacBook Pro worth 50k, wouldn't think twice. Currently using second-hand iPhone 4, everything is in place and working as should. Consistent interface, virtually no bugs. Expect the same from Mac. Limited productivity in ecosystem is not a problem to me. I tried Windows 10, it is not worth my time. If I don't not like a MAC, I would give Microsoft 3 years to fix bugs in Windows then decide whether get a better laptop or swap a MAC for a small car. Windows XP serves me well and these MAC things do not lose market value. :)

Macbook Pro for personal stuff.
Windows PC for work stuff.

Hmm. It's a tough one, but I think the Mac because I recently bought a nice Windows laptop. Might be fun attempting to put Linux on the Mac, too.

Definitely the Mac - best machine I ever worked on. Windows 10 sucks

Give me the MAC. I hate Apple Inc Products - they are restricted, limited and very overrated. I'll sell it and buy two Windows PCs thank you.

Depends what you wanna do.

I have MBP for personal use and Thinkpad for work. Recently moved back to the Thinkpad and it's alright. Win10 is just annoying with updates . Need applications for everything where OSX you don't.

Battery life on OSX is also amazing. But I am going to sell my MBP. Can feel its age now. And don't need it anymore.

You don't know what I know, get lost. Idioot
Ah, yes. The response that I would expect from a person at the forefront of intellectual thought and comprehensive communication. Your ability to put forth a meaningful, well constructed argument is astonishing and, I must freely admit, I am quite astounded that you have the mental capability to use the device at your disposal. The fact that you can almost construct a sentence should have researchers rushing to your door. You, my good man, my in fact be the missing link.
Either that or you are a pimply 14 year old...

Live long and prosper, but please do not reproduce.

The Macbook Pro. The version of Polaris inside the high-end dGPU version is great, and I'd like to own a machine that has great resale value.

Mac, windows cost me too much in time on os issues.
