Servers still running Windows Server 2008/R2 after End of Support run the risk of being completely unsupported and unprotected, as Microsoft will no longer provide security fixes after the EOS date of 14 January 2020.

Because servers running Windows Server 2008 will be at risk from Jan 14th 2020 as there will be no more support.
