Windows sound settings suggestion...

I've always found windows sound to be on the soft side and settings limited compared to linux.

My suggestion is to install,
https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/ reboot after installation
https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/

You will have to reinstall Equalizer APO after each windows update though as windows wipes the settings after an update.

This is an incredible combination. I'm using this with a cheapo 5.1 external sound 'card' that plays well with Windows 10. Very useful as an active crossover, with all the the other benefits of EQAPO:
