Hi

I've noticed some recent windows update has forced shut down a server(win server 2008 R2) and a laptop(win 7)

I know there were some critical updates, but has this happened to anybody else?

The problem is after the update the pc shutdown without warning (not a restart) a restart would've been better as servers as you know are critical to be on all of the time.

I tried to google for articles for instances where it happened to others, no luck.

Regards
Keegan

Sounds like someone restarted your server.
Might be an employee, or an 'external internet enthusiast.'

Both my servers (Win 2008 R2) and my computer (Win 7) is loaded with the latest Windows updates... It required a restart (like most Windows Updates do), but I had to click the Restart button to restart the servers. No automatic shut down or restarts.

I have had a problem before on a PC that whenever you want to restart it, it shuts down. Perhaps something other than the update is the problem.
