Windows user to Mac - Tips, Suggestions & Apps

macOS can be rough if you're coming from a Windows environment. Nowadays I'm pretty used to and comfortable with macOS, thanks to gestures and things like hot corners & Rectangle. The App Exposé feature mapped to 4 finger down gesture saves me everyday.

I find stage manager works for me cause I always have 1 “desktop” for misc stuff that’s all just there, the rest of them are all fully maximized and I’ve usually got like 4-8 desktops going.

I’ve never like that screen splitting thing, so stuff like rectangle and magnet I find is just not for me. I prefer a touch of chaos in my order.

There are many times in my work day I need to split screen and MacOS actively making that as hard as possible really ****s up my workflow.

It simply doesn’t work in Fullscreen mode but it could have been a little better if there were at least keyboard shortcuts to snap a window left and right.

I pretty much never use the full screen desktop because it just feels like I lose things. Actually I literally lose videos all the time because I dared to watch something in fullscreen.
