Rhetorical question.
Of course it's MS' fault. They brought out an OS which wasn't finished
yet, full of bugs and with extravagant requirements (to please
HW manufacturers who were tired of people using older hardware)
to do exactly the same thing which the older OS did.
Not like Vista adds anything to productivity, does it? It just slows
things down, and 90% of people out there DO NOT NEED VISTA
and DO NOT NEED FASTER Computers to do the same thing they've
been doing on their older machines for years (browse web, use IM, use email, use Office, Photoshop, accounting software, burn a DVD/CD, put songs
on their iPod, play basic games etc).
Vista is just DRM laden garbage.
Peter i find a few things wrongs with your post.
Firstly Vista worked from the moment they released it, but companies where slow to develop drivers. This is not microsoft's fault, the platform is there but the companies where slow getting us decent drivers. Peter new games that come out now and need really good hardware, the reason for this is development, we would all still be playing and working on a 486 with dos if it where not for microsoft, just remember that.
They brought new OS's that required new hardware which pushed the hardware industry to invest in development, without windows we would not have the systems we do today, so give them some credit. Sure vista requires a good computer but that's how it works with computers, or we would still be using 486's. Vista is faster than xp with almost every application, provided you give it a good pc to run on. Also today, fast computers are the standard for most people, microsoft cannot cater for the people who are happy with their p4/p3 or slow amd machines running xp and not wanting to upgrade their systems.
Core 2 and 2gb+ memory will run Vista fine
Why is it microsoft's fault software does not work on their OS?
Companies should release vista compatable software for vista or patches for their programs, its not up to microsoft to ensure programs work on their new OS's. Funny how people forget XP was a mess before sp1 as well and look at it now.

People keep going on about DRM i have never anything or heard anyone who has problems with DRM in windows, still don't know even know what it is, would you care to explain the problems you have with it peter? I know that Pastel, photoshop and even corel draw run fine on vista, on my vista pc corels run alot faster than on my other office machine. Its simple give vista a good computer and it will work well, expect it to run on your p4 with 1gb memory and your going to be unhappy.
Look at the end of the day, vista works and works well many, millions of people will tell you that. Then you get people who come to a come problem that they dont try enough to fix and call it rubbish. I think we should just accept some users like XP, some like Vista and some like Linux, whatever your choice they are all good
Then you will get the guys who refuse to use it.
Peter go look at the requirements for crysis, alan wake, Grid and then come tell me microsoft are bad for wanting a good system
