Windows XP plug n play

Hi peoples

I got a system here running XP and for some reason its no longer installing plug and play devices. for example i plug in a flash drive and the found new hardware wizard pops up for USB Mass Storage Device. Before it did its business and installed and that was the end of it.

Any ideas

Uninstall the USB drivers by going to Control Panel, Devices and right clicking and uninstalling all the devices listed under USB. After you have done so click on Scan for hardware changes and the drivers should reinstall.
