Windscreen wiper blades

My new car has these weird looking blades - seems like they don't have any of the traditional framework? Are they as readily available?

Maybe standard for new(er) cars but it's the first time I've seen them. Looks like they could be Bosch Aerotwins.

They've been here for ages, check all the citi golf guys who want to look cool and you'll see those on the windscreen.

Bosch or Rain-X

Alternatives: ANCO, Valeo, Aero, Trico, Michelin

Man, I miss durablades...

This.

my Fiesta uses a 63cm main blade. and a few years ago the yellow boxed durablade was 60cm. then i found for R79 at checkers Hyper a black boxed Durablade which was 70cm.

Best Wiper blade i've ever had. i should've bought a few.

What happened to them? I've tried and failed to find more.

I would recommend Bosch, those fancy looking wiper blades are made to have better durability and better quality. As long as the length is same should be fine.

Bosch haven't been really faithful to me. I have bought them a few times and would wear off before the rainy season. Leaving lines and making noise when I needed to use them frequently.

Well that is the thing with brands you will always get people who had great stories and people who had terrible stories. As all these brands are rebranding and mass produced and depending on different environment or situations of the customer, that can lead to a different experience. Going through hot and cold and time can change rubber.

But from my experience, I come from the automotive industry I hear a lot of good things about Bosch, but again it might be because they are kind of like the entry level of ok quality and the brand is pretty famous and reasonably price, so people tend to get overly satisfied when something works at a good price.

But of course all brands are not a 100% customer satisfaction all brands have that % of bad experienced customers.

So which brand do you prefer now? I run my own spare shop there are a lot of brands out there actually, but they not well known like Bosch.

Hahaha, i just gave up hey, still with bosch. I cant say I'll go around testing all sorts of wiper blades, I get the conditions, hot then cold will definitely degrade the rubber. Maybe I'm still stuck on bosch because I use their brake pads and they work pretty well for me.
