Windscreen wiper blades

Got them replaced total cost way R160, work great and fit easily into existing housing

but for how long, i used normal blades on my other car, and every rainy season i have to replace them. i've only had one set of durablades and never need to worry that they'll perform less than perfect.

I don’t know what make of wiper-blades Hyundai uses as OEM equipment, but the ones on my 2012 Elantra lasted 6 years. Replaced them last week with Bosch blades from Midas. Worked very well during yesterday’s downpour.

My new car has these weird looking blades - seems like they don't have any of the traditional framework? Are they as readily available?

Wow, those blades have been standard fro 10 years or so?

+1 for Bosh

/thread.

I got Bosch wipers not too long ago, looks like I will already have to replace them again.

Where can I look for better quality wipers?

How long is not too long ago?

My Bosh blades have been on my car since 2014, and still wipe perfectly.

OEM blades are generally replaced every year with every service.

Less than a year ago. I posted here somewhere. Beginning they worked very well, but now they are just irritating the nord out of me.

Just replace them then. You won't find better than Bosch.

In any case;

I see. I'm gonna replace it, just wondered if there was better quality. My car doesn't stand in the sun and I wash it regularly. Wonder why they become ineffective so soon....

Got them around November last year.

I quickly gave them a good inspection, can't spot any issues or damage or tearing. Cleaned them with window sheen (and the window), looks much better accept for one spot leaving a line.... Argh!
