Hey guys

After hours of stuggling on my own I yet again turn to the help of the mybroadband forumers. hehe

So im trying to mesh our house under wifi so that everywhere we have internet access.

can somebody please help me and step by step or just what i have to set up to have a wireless mesh

the 2 routers im using is 1) Telkom mega 105wr and 2) telkom 100wr2(the one with wds).

if it is not possible what over options do i have that wont cost me 1000's of bokke. hehe im still only matric so easy on the pockets ;).

thanks guys and girls

If the 105 don't support wds then it won't work. Just run a cable between the 2.

I have just setup a WDS link between 2 SMC products. Here is what i had to do.

NB!! Both units needs to support WDS.
Both units needs to be on the same subnet. ( ex: 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.3)
Both units must be on the same channel. (1,6 or 11)
You must enter the other units MAC address under WDS setup.
Turn off DHCP on the second unit.
Do the setup in the same room, then when it works, move the second one away to where you want it.

Good luck.

thanks guys. yeah both routers support wds. also just have to add that the 105wr is in bridge mode cause each pc creates its own connection. ill try it later. thanks
