I have one corner of my house where I can't receive decent signal on my network. What are my options for remedying this?

Have you tried moving your access point around?
Give us a little more information on the equipment you've got, it'll help us figure it out.

I can't really move it around as I have a fairly complicated wiring arrangement where it is now with just the right lengths of phone/power/network cable.

I have a Billion router but I'm at work right now and I can't recall the exact model number. Basically it's a pretty standard 802.11g router.

i have the same problem. tried configuring a DD WRT router to repeat the signal and as far as i can tell it works, except i cant use a client PPPoE connection while connected to the repeater ie: cant dial up my ISP account from my laptop thru the repeater to the ADSL AP.

Anyone have any ideas?
cant use the ADSL AP in PPPoE mode as there are multiple accounts at the house.

ya not sure want to spend like R300 on an antenna when i have a router that i can configure to act as a repeater.

basically my setup is this. DSL/wifi AP combo ( DLink) >> wireless>>linksys DD WRT (repeater bridge mode) >> laptop + desktop

i just need to get the desktop and laptop to connect a WAN miniport pppoe session thru the linksys setup. I can do it thru the Dlink directly but not the linksys.

any idea as to why not?

its DD WRT v24 in repeater mode
Dlink ip is 192.168.1.1 default in bridge mode

set the linksys to 192.168.1.200 and its gateway to the Dlink

thanks for any advice guys

Unfortunately the bridge code in the DD-WRT firmware doesn't pass PPPoE frames properly.
I've tried this before and failed :(
