I got a whatsapp message from my Christian aunt today begging me not to go to Witchfest out of respect to "children of god" over Easter. You ****ing kidding me? After Christians had the audacity to try and scupper the whole event, now they try and appeal to us to respect them?
So I couldn't take sitting at home on Friday so caved and bought a ticket.
Exceptionally glad that I did.
What an epic, epic, epic weekend of metal.
My favourite bands were Cannibal Corpse and Septic Flesh
I'm tired, hungover and beaten but it was well worth it!
I just seriously hope that Witchdoctor have enough resources to make this a yearly event.
I was also surprised that the Bassline had more than enough space in it for all the people - I really thought that it was going to be cramped.
I also discovered found for the bands that I didn't really know standing at the bottom by the sound desk was the best - could see and hear the bands and had the bar and toilets right behind you![]()
Glad to hear it went well. How was the crowd? Think they made an impression on the bands?
Also, quality of the production itself (sound, stage setup, etc.)?
Tempted to go purely for the ability to tell the next tedious Xtian I encounter that I went to Witchfest...
No particular interest in the music though tbh.
