Very plain, very basic. As Khanya said - it works. It also uses dongles (physical or mobile app), so no SMS/Sim swap issues.

I have never seen one in the wild in PE.

Plenty of Pick 'n Pays and Checkers though, so I don't care, and it's 1 or 2 bucks to draw from there...

No idea, but it works just fine, for what I've ever needed to do with it...

Read the article heading and after reading the actual article it almost feels like an ad for FNB. I was with Capitec bank for a while and still have the account due to no monthly service fees, but a pity they were quite racist towards me at the branch where I used to frequent...it's a pity they cannot see a customer when they look at me.

Might be paying more currently using a Nedbank current account but get best service than I have ever had from previous banks (ABSA, Capitec, FNB) plus the queues is always short. Nedbank basically does not place much emphasis on withdrawals at ATM's but their Internet Banking service is unlimited at the moment for my type of account and their Android Banking Application is quite good.

What I find annoying is that you have to add a beneficiary to make a once-off payment. Other than that, no complaints.

I should switch to Capitec - dont think I'm getting my money's worth at FNB. Just too expensive.

What will be of help is if they add a proper app to do cell phone banking.

I so seldom draw cash I could not be bothered. I always just swipe my card and pay people with EFT. I wish we could pay @ the parking machines with cards also. Then I litterally would never EVER have to have cash on me.

So if a small shop or other establishment does not have card facilities you simply walk out?

I pretty much do that unless I reeeaaalllyy want what they sell. Hardly ever encounter this though.
