Wits students protest over tuition fee increase

Luthuli House can't 'send' police.

Edna Mamonyane (JMPD spokesperson) said on 702 a few minutes ago that they're not stopping them from going there, they're just trying to get them to not stuff up traffic everywhere.

nope. Nowadays it's the right of the companies to educate their staff. tertiary education is only there to buy some time and some degrees to say you're a skilled worker

I know they are geographically close to each other but I don't see the relevance. Its like blaming your next-door neighbour on the right for the neighbour on the left having a noisy dog.

You may not see it but you don't see a lot of things, and that doesn't stop you posting here.

I don't see a UJ protest thread. So it seemed reasonably appropriate to put it in the WITS thread since they're so close to each other, and in fact an innocent bystander in Braamfontein, Auckland park or surrounds may be affected by unrest on EITHER campus.

Now make yourself useful and go call for Blade to be fired.

Study like exams are going ahead as normal. Your school will let you know if anything's changed closer to the time.

Wow, that is a large group of people.

One thing that would be interesting to know is how many of those protesters are actually students at either Wits or UJ
