That 10% you are taking out of the economy is going to cost you millions of jobs. That will only be the start. That 10% might give more people degrees, will it give them jobs? Your average Zimbabwean is better educated than your average South African, how is that economy doing?

Our education problems are deeper than just abolishing tuition fees.

That poster does not have Y values for the graph, USA does not include Alaska for some reason and why is it the universities fault that they must pass the increase on to the students?

Oh and "virtually all of Europe", Germany and Austria do not have university fees besides the admin, so I doubt it unless it is against private education.
 
I'm confused, how do you decolonise a university if you're protesting about the same things as the colonialists? Surely #FeesMustRise then? We could do a Bane voice in the Vine!!!!

This. You see this is a pressing issue. If you're gonna give free tertiary tuition to these relatively well off kids while overlooking the docile and quiet masses of really poor people.... you're not doing justice.

Food is a priority.
Healthcare.
Then education.

You have to eat first. Then you must have your health taken care of. Then you can only think about studying.

Sadly little hungry kids can't storm parliament or burn tires and get empathy votes. They just have to suck it up.
