Word 2007 convert MAC Word 2004

I have this client who just got a MacBook with Word4Mac 2004 she cannot open any of her word files. I have downloaded a compatibility pack from M$ website but this will not run keeps failing.

Have tried using OpenOffice? http://www.openoffice.org/ It's a very good free alternative to Word, otherwise you could download a trial version of the latest Word for Mac so you can open and convert them.

yeah, AFAIK Off 2004 for mac does not open docx files. use openoffice or Neo office
