Word 2010 referencing/hyperlink errors

Throwing it out on all Word docs. Have tried rebooting, repairing and rebooting, and the error persists.

Example of how it's showing now:

The highlighted bit should say '5.2'.

Any suggestions for fixing this?

you've probably got the thing set to show field codes rather than contents. Alt+F9 toggles between field codes being on and off - just checked on Word 2010 on a document.

I'd blame a cat or infant for having bashed on the keyboard. Either that or your boss broke you computer - bosses have a tendency to break things.
