Are the DoC actually that dumb? Ok don't answer that...Section 192 states that legislation must establish an independent authority to regulate broadcasting in the public interest. No mention is made of telecoms.

I thought ICASA was responsible for both broadcasting and telecoms. In other words the DoC are trying to be overly technical looking for small problems when there's so much more to be done. They would actually be creating problems. According to quote above, this would mean we need separate regulators for broadcasting and telecoms, the latter of which is dependent on DoC. Fire Ivy, shes using up precious oxygen, and if need be I'm game on the idea of petitioning the President.
