Internet and remote (depending on what you need to access : Teamviewer , VNC , Radmin , Dameware etc ) software is all you need .

Just to clarify my concern, I meant in terms of tools especially with rootkit loaded dongles from your network providers only working seemlessly in windows better if it's nokia, and vpn clients that work in other environments other than linux.
