World War 3 begins

From this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China–North_Korea_relations

It seems that China does have some border disputes with NK, interesting...

Also interesting:
In 1961, the two countries signed the Sino-North Korean Mutual Aid and Cooperation Friendship Treaty, whereby Communist China pledged to immediately render military and other assistance by all means to its ally against any outside attack.[53] This treaty was prolonged twice, in 1981 and 2001, with a validity till 2021.

I wonder if this is worded in a way for China that they will be forced to join the war if NK strikes first, as opposed to only 'outside' attacks?

Killa are posting more BS than everyone else on the interwebz altogether.

If I were in control of China then I would wait until North Korea attacks South Korea and as soon as that happens attack North Korea and expand my borders. Then China can say that they helped the rest of the world by helping against North Korea.

China is probably getting sick of all the nonsense bordering them. It will be a win-win situation for China. I'm not sure though what treaty China has with North Korea but isn't it something along the line that they will help defend North Korea if South Korea attacks? I doubt that China will want to fight in a war against the States. China is all about money and power these days. So even though I know very little about the situation, I can believe that China will take over North Korea in the event of war.

:) What do you guys think?

Stabbing North Korea in the back by attacking them will only make China look less reliable as an ally, not a good move. China's border response is most likely to keep the US reminded to be wary of where they tread and also indirectly to tell them to stay away as China doesn't want the US occupying territory right on their border, it would be similar to the USSR occupying Mexico during the cold war, too close for comfort. If Cuba wasn't enough already back then.

@the trade discussion: The way trade has been set up between the US and China is almost symbiotic, stopping Chinese imports into the US will hurt them both, and Japan doesn't have the capability to fulfil the manufacturing capability of China simply due to the sheer scale of the industry and Japan having a significantly diminishing young adult population density. Also the US owe China millions, if not millions of billions, of money. Not that being indebted will stop the US threatening/being aggressive to China, but it does send a negative message about the US credibility if they decide to declare its debts null and void.

A semi wildcard at the moment is Russia's military response to the matter. If they mobilise in favour of China, it would put pressure on the US to backdown and re-evaluate its position. It would also pressure Japan since they are the host country to the American forces stationed there, and see battle on their own turf. If Russia sides with the US, China will most likely back down and could inevitably add worse pressure on North Korea and pushing them into a corner with a nothing-to-lose-take-them-all-down-with-me stance.

Nothing worse than a World War and nobody shows. Is it too early to surrender?

*pops head out of bunker*

May we sound the all clear?

Still all quiet here - going to take a chance and pop to the cafe for supplies.

Please Bring siggies. If this is war I'm starting to smoke again. No use wasting good health on war.
I'll do the supply run tomorrow.

Wednesday. Daylight. Haven't seen NK forces since news of the war broke. I'd kill for a bottle of Klipdrift.
