To give some context the phone that was originally sent in for repairs was from a contract that was taken out in March 2011, the phone was not even 3 months old when problems arose and we brought it to get booked in for repairs (First job number). About a week and half later we received a call to say that a unit was ready to be picked up. Upon taking this phone home we relised that the unit was a refurbish as well as being of a much older revision of the model. Not accepting this we returned the phone and clearly stated our unhapinees with receiving such an old phone (Second job number). The matter was taken up with Escalations but again an older revision refurbished unit was given to us. I have now been told that this is the unit that i must take and the center will not re-book it in as they say this is how things work.

I do not think that i am being unreasonable in requiring that we receive a new phone or atleast one that is of the same revision as the one i sent in as the contract and the original phone were not even 3 months old. If this is the sort of service i can should accept from Vodacom then i will cancel my contracts with Vodacom and take them with another Service Provider. I think it is aboslute rubbish that i have to pay a 24 month contract for some old phone because the technicain decided he cannot fix it and did not even bother to communicate what the problem is, so for all i know the phone could be fixed but instead vodacom decided that they can keep the newer phone for someone else and give me an older one just because they can. This is a blant example of abusing power and making the consumer pay.

Vodacom slogan should be changed to "POWER TO US TO ABUSE YOU"

Thats what i sent to Vodacom Repairs Escalations (we waste your time and money) division. And i get a response telling me about procedures that they have and how the refurbished phone i received was actually a brand new phone that had software issues and was returned and so now they gave it to me because they could "not" fix my phone. This without even telling me why they could not fix my phone.

What utter rubbish! VODASCUM strikes again!!!

Reading your post I wonder if you could contact the Vodacom Rep VodacomData in the Vodacom Forum and ask him to assist after sitting down putting your problem in logical calm order without the profane tone and you might find that assistance will be forth coming.
