Damn it,

Last night I was at the DK starting area till 1:00 our time and 00:00 server time waiting for the first Alliance DK to come out and play :D

Nothing happened by the time I logged off, appart from the Epic battles we fought against lvl 70 Allaice guys wanting to kill our new DK celebs. There was lvl 57 DK's already before the official launch :D

So was anyone of you lucky enough to spot a live DK and kill it ?
 
....no i dont want to read the FAQ.... :D

so the DK's are not a 3rd force as in both horde and alliance are against them then ?

Nope, afaik. They start the game doing the bidding for Lich King. There is a quest chain they have to complete before they join the Normal WoW world. Once they complete the breaking away from Lich King's rule or something.

We had them running all over the place but we could not see them as they play in the Old Eastern Plaguelands.

We where waiting and waiting and waiting, but nothing :(
 
3rd force would have been nice touch, but i guess the bit to much on the coding side to implement now....

3rd force and their Faction could have been calling something like - TheBoereMag
 
I dont think its too hard to level as a DK... the first quest took me about 1 min, and i got 16k xp. And a blue sword :)
 
so its just another class then - and here i was thinking for a sec one could become a fallen char and ally with the lich, o well maybe one day blizz will implement something like that apart from the same old horde VS alliance VS evil.

still wow is good and decent mmo :)
 
Pitbull, sorry to rain on your parade but the DK starting area is a phased instance.
You won't see a DK until they reach the final quest where they head to either a Horde or Alliance faction leader and then they'll be in the city.

I leveled to 58 quickly last night and starting organising all my enchants/glyphs and professions.
Once I'm done with that I'll start questing in ernest.
 
Damn impressive to reach 78 allready... but it does mean you end up going back to the lowby areas when you reach 80 to do them properly....

Rushing / speed leveling means you skip a lot of important things in the process.

I did the same thing when TBC came out...

had the account still, debit orders going off from my cc. So I thought I might just come back and see a little of WoTLK since no one wanted my accound :D

So I'll play a bit again and see how it goes :p
 
Goodness Crisis!

Everything's been nerfed 6-love!

Last night we decided to run Kara one last time for the hell of it before Lich King sets in and everyone moves on...

We took down Maiden in under a minute, Attuman and Moroes was a joke, We dps'd nethersprite during his shifting and got him down before the 2nd energy orbs came, curator dropped after the 1st set of sparks, romulus and julianne dropped like flies, etc.

In a casual run with quite a few fresh 70s we managed to clear Kara in 2hrs 30min. That was 1 BOJ every 8 minutes!

It's actually quite sad how badly everything's been nerfed, but understandably so considering future players won't rest at 70 to get imba gear, so kara will just be another Maraudon.

Sure BOJ's are obsolete now, but consider this:

You won't be replacing kara epics with greens before level 73-74 or so... Badge epics will last you even longer to about 75-76.

The nice thing now is, you get to farm badges and get XP for it ... with these badges you can buy awesome gear that will make your questing to lvl 80 that much easier! ... and best of all, you won't have to cry yourself to sleep when you change epics for greens 1 week into play.

One last thing I also find nice about it is that the end-game raids are now more accessible to folks who would previously never have seen it. Say what you want, but I'd STILL like to go "back" to Black Temple even when I'm lvl 80 and fetch me a pair of Warglaives!

Would love them on my rogue, if the new legendary items at lvl 80 doesn;t look cooler :D
