Lets say we got invaded by an equal strength country... lets say Zimbabwe.

You had the opportunity to
a.) Stay and fight
b.) Leave

What would you do? I'm asking based on the EFF's compulsory in-listing.

(deliberately put this in this sub-forum because I can see how this might end up).

I'd leave. I'm not fighting for a country that's being run in to the ground - I'm already doing my bit by struggling to keep it running with a fortune in tax money which gets spent on fancy cars and fire pools. I'm not prepared to die for that.

Zimbabwe hasn't got an army any more than we do, i'm sure our local police could take them out

I was like WTF?!?!?! Then realised you are actually 110% correct :o

Hell no, fight for this Government, not a chance in hell. I'll drive to Namibia, and board the first place I can to Germany.

I was going to go with China - but then I thought everyone would run.... :p

(I actually recon they're already invading Africa - but - once we realise it'll be too late)

This. As much as things are bad and we may feel, in this hypothetical presentation, that our government does not deserve a damn thing from us, our people and our country do. I'd fight.

Here's the problem though, its your government and its army that will be giving you, and your fellow soldiers the training and weaponry required.... a government that can't keep electricity and water supply running (and there are quite a few other examples).

You might think, I'm awesome and can hold my own, but you also need to know the guy next to you and behind you can - and does not accidentally shoot you in the head :p
