WTB: HP Gen8 server ram?

Can anyone recommend confirmed working Gen8 server ram? The 2GB isn't cutting it - probably need about 8GB
 
Tx...I'll see if I can find 2x 4GB... dont think I'll need more than that.
 
Stupid question, but will a single module work in these servers?

Trying to decide between 2x 4GB or 1x 8GB

Have you checked online to see if anyone has had success using that exact module? Which module is it?

I know these servers can be very picky on memory compatibility.
 
Yip - Not 100% sure which model, ADATA have some of their modules listed as compatible. I can return it if it doesn't work.

Please Note that the HP Proliant Gen 8 only works with ECC memory, We have tried using standard Non ECC memory and was extremely unstable ,

However the HP Proliant Gen7 N40L and N54L worked very well with standard Non ECC memory

There is currently a shortage of Kingston HP Non ECC memory as they are on allocation i.e. if we order 1000 units we lucky to get 50 units but have some arriving in a few days.

It was removed because we getting a huge amount of orders and cannot full fill the orders due to the allocation as mentioned above #11

Just confirmed with our Product manager we should get about 50 pieces on Tuesday or Wednesday from the UK warehouse

Ah - thanks. See my damn server is constantly sitting at 98% usage...RDP is struggling a bit.
 
Hello All

Just to let you know that we just received the stk# KTH-PL316E/8G which is the 8GB ECC modules for the HP Proliant Gen8 Servers
They are three weeks late but at least they have come now as there is still a huge shortage on these modules
 
Bump....is there any place i can find some RAM at a decent price?
