WTF is happening in Ironforge

I go to Ironforge this morning and the place is full of elementals attacking everything.

Is this part of a quest you are supposed to pick up or just part of the cata release?

and books too, as I discovered yesterday. as I was about to click on a book for the "well Read" achievement, it bloody disappeared!

btw, any other servers where the IF elementals/portals are bugged?

yes, it gets irritating, I've even seem the elementals and ports in Swamp of sorrows while I was farming there

Yup...I had to "quickly" get gems and pots for my Priest and while I was browsing the AH the invasion started -.- I wanted to kill a GM!

they are everywhere in azeroth, outland and northrend. where you been? if you kill off enough elementals and close a portal at your level (ie say somewhere in northrend at lvl 80), you can pick up a daily quest
