WTH is going on with Rain

Good day.

I recieved my 5G Router and 5G Sim on yesterday 9AM. After a hour I received a text and e-mail confirming activation of the sim card.

I tried to connect the device and also to set up the APN, but I still struggled to connect. There was Zero Signal and Mbps was also on Zero.I tried to insert the sim card into the handset, it showed gateway error messages. I then decided to put it back into the router with the view that it will be activated in the Morning. This Morning when I woke up the signal was 6 bars and the last Mbps shown it was 126. It immediately disconnected and it was back to the same problem I had yesterday. I inserted the sim back into the phone, I recieved a message that my service is offline. But on my dashboard the sim is active.

Should I give Rain more time to actually activate the sim on their network? I was billed upfront and the option I took is uncapped data. Am based in Pretoria North and there's coverage for rain.

I usually bitch a moan about Rain ...so yesterday their top customer support guy Faiz called me and we discussed my issues over a 20 minute phone call...they called me back after i left a ticket at their support site....magically overnight all my speeds are up and 5g CPE is working like the day they installed it i average 200-250 Mbps and my other complaint upload speed was fixed...Rain can fix things when there on the right program amazing how when things just work there are no complaints.:):thumbsup:

that is not amazing. That is how customer support should be. You shouldn't have to bitch and moan for them fix a service that you paid for. You should not even have to go all through that torture for them to fix a service you paid for in full.

Just kidding, glad yours is working fine. I'm still waiting for their network team to fix mine that keeps randomly dropping from perfect 200-300mbps 5G to 0.3mbps 4G.

Nice. Hope it stays that way. Still waiting on them to help us with our 5G issue.

Faiz and Faiza are the people at customer service that are tops .......i HAVE been helped my 3 issues fixed by Rain....

i am a technical power User so...i usually pull around 1TB month, but rely on upload speed more to Upload web content, websites and PHP databases
FAIR is Fair i have been sorted so will also tell people..usually people only comment when there having ****....i feel its only far to to the opposite and tell people when Rain are getting it right too
