I am in fact basing my opinion on the experiences of at least 6 wuggers I personally know, as well as what i've read in this forum.
(Did not mean to insult all admins. i know some admins do have the best interest of the wugging community in mind)
Thats on 1% of the entire WUG. As to what has been said in this forum, well it has maybe gotten out of hand, well at least some of what I said.
It's just extremely frustrating to see that such a small percentage of people out there can have such a large, negative influence. And people being people, love to crucify the hero, it's human nature. Nobody ever says anything about the good that is done by people, because it is simply expected, but let those people make one tiny slip, BAM, you're dead. And that applies to all walks of life, doctors, cops, lawyers, ministers (religious & political), IT technicians, sales people, whoever.
When eveything is working it's cool and no one even knows who to thank for the efficient service, but when it breaks then suddenly all hell breaks loose. Is that fair? And please don't say it's not, because that is what has happened here. When everything was nice and fast, no one complained OR said anything nice, but now that things have slowed down, everyone suddenly has 72c worth of opinions.
The WUG has had problems before, but they were looked at and solved. What everyone must remember is that this is a wireless LAN that is growing massively on an almost daily basis. In something like 2 years, it has grown to over 600 users. So there will be problems, there will times when things are down and yes, there might even be times when an admin might be rude, but remember, nobody said this was perfect, but it is a very exciting project to be a part of. So PLEASE, take the good with the bad, because as much as the clever guys might know, they are still learning as well.
If I've attacked anyone personally, I apologise, but please understand that the WUG is something MANY of us have worked hard on and it's not lekker to come here and read about people who are unhappy etc.
