www.discovery.co.za blocked ?

I have noticed since Friday that www.discovery.co.za is unavailable when connecting with Afrihost APN. It is available on any other connection, including MTN APN. It seems as if the IP range in use has been blocked by Discovery, but for what reason?

Well once Afrihost starts replying to support tickets ill start using that. I have two seperate tickets outstanding for more than 7 days and no response. They one is a very basic question about Pausing the 3G service.

It seems that the only place where responses are received now is via the forum - and it helps to find out whether other people are also experiencing the issue so that when Afrihost support ever do decide to reply with their cut and paste issue trying to blame coverage or something, I at least know for a fact if there are other people having the same problem as me.
 
Discovery IT Networks team is investigating and has escalated to IS and waiting for feedback from them, hopefully be able to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

This has been going on for a WEEK. Afrihost. You have some explaining to DO.

Problem is at ISNET - whatever that is.. All my work-related websites/email stops there as well when I Trace Route it.

We have at least 1 Afrihost mobile customer who has confirmed this morning that they can now access the www.discovery.co.za website, appreciate if any other afrihost mobile customers could test and let us know if it's now working.

cipro.co.za

Please afrihost sort it out been offline for the past few days!!!!!!! Only have the problem with the mifi dongle.

Interestingly I can access Discovery from Afrihost mobile.
flysaa.co.za doesn't work but then www.flysaa.com works which I believe is the link that you are looking for.
Also cipro.co.za may not work but if you add www in the front then it works: www.cipro.co.za.

So all the sites are working fine for me on Afrihost mobile.
 
Morning all

I've run some tests off an MTN SIM with our APN enabled and can't seem to replicate any issues on my end :(
Is anyone still having issues as of today?

Yes, I know of at least me and two other people here in Bloem who continue to have this problem, as well as the additional sites listed by Solitude. If I activate my Uno VPN (both US and UK) it works perfectly.

We're confident this isn't an issue on our network. Regardless though, we're still investigating and talking to the relevant companies about this.
 
One thing strange for me is that for all three these sites we are first routed to Cape Town and then to Gauteng, whilst the shortest and quickest route would be straight to Gauteng. Just checked and I see this is true for most sites. Something wrong with MTN in Bloemfontein / South of the Vaal?

We have been investigating the Discovery issue. Although some people can connect, others are still having problems. Our team would like the usernames for those who are still not able to connect. Can you please send me your usernames in a PM.
