For fun, entered my Flickr username in the images to see what happens ... and it brought up a few of my images. Except - when I hovered over them, they weren't Flickr links ... was something called lurvely?

Anyone heard of them?
How do they get there?

Seems to have something to do with Flickr, but I've never even heard of them - let alone knew my photo's where on it?

Welcome to the internet. You haven't been around for long so let me explain (yes, sarcasm, but some people don't know)

Some sites are designed to make money. To make money they need content. To get content they scrape other sites. Some direct link to the actual image, others just downloads and serves it as their own. Same thing happens with sites where you can freely upload a file for others to download (I forget the popular ones, I never use the service)

Once it's on the internet anyone can grab it and display it.

I didn't think it legal to take a photo from Flickr - rights and ownership etc?

I mean I don't care, but surely a real photographer would want to at least be informed?

Oh well
