XBMC Supersport Addon

Press Ctrl-A in program to check your version. Latest is 0.0.16.0

Also try to run the command manually in a cmd window:

Go to File --> Show commands in rtmpgui.

It will then show the rtmpdump command line instead of program guide. (btw, make sure rtmpdump.exe is located in same directory as rtmpgui.exe)
You can then copy and paste the command to run it manually in a cmd window

trmpdump was not included in the package .... copied the one from your program to rtmpgui .... everything 'honki-dori' know

Thx ;)

Hi guys, just downloaded XBMC, new to this. Doe this mean I can watch SS content free of charge? What are other benefits.
How can I get this add on because the OP link is closed.

The SS plugin for XBMC is not working so nicely anymore ... follow post #451 for a VLC alternative

Ok thanks. Just googled a bit, installed it, but can't see any content, but other plug-ins are fine, like Youtube.

I was notified of a sporting event (Arsenal vs something), still can't get anything, let me see of the VLC method.

Also, is there any way to automatically download content as it is streamed?

EDIT, just saw two live events, the stream quality is amazing.

Discovered this thread during some google searching. Credit to everyone that helped make this addon possible.

I dont use xbmc but seeing that i now and then watch some live internet sport streams on my pc using rtmpdump and vlc, i decided to make some app for my own use that will do the decoding of Supersport's live channels into vlc player.

I'm not a programmer but have some knowledge of the BASIC language and some batch file knowledge. Using that and some python tutorials i found on the net, i compiled some of the python code into a exe which is used by a frontend GUI i made in a macro automation program called Winautomation. The executable produced by winautomation requires .NET framework 2 or higher

Decided to upload it and post it here for those of you that might find it useful.

Requirements (not included in my download package):

1. .NET framework 2 or higher.
2. VLC media player. Some versions of vlc has problems streaming from stdin (which is the method my program use in conjunction with rtmpdump). If vlc shows no video 10 seconds after starting a channel, download the latest nightly builld (http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win32/)

Usage:

1. Install lastest nightly build of vlc player.
2. Extract rar and launch sslsd.exe. It will produce a dialog box with a list of currently available streams (if any available)
3. Enter the streamid of your choice shown in the menu dialog
4. Enter path to vlc.exe (just click ok if you have installed vlc in its default location)
5. Stream should launch in vlc player in a few seconds!

Download:
Code:

Like i said it was made for my own use and done very quickly so I except it might contain a few bugs. You are welcome to give some feedback here and I will try and help.

Tried the nightly build even, can't get it to function. Keeps reloading screen and opens blank VLC.

Hey guys, did you see the rtmpGUI addon? There's SkySports Live HD channels (720p)

Yo Khanya, Your posts does not make sense. You go from working ... to not working .... to working .... to not working. From no content ..... to amazing quality .... to please supply new link ..... to stuff you were already told does not work so nicely anymore.

.... are you trying to confuse us, cause it's working on me  :p

That's cause I'm wet behind the ears on this XBMC scoop. You can't coherently follow my posts? I don't kno.

Which version of nightly build did you try?
I you want an old stable version (that definately works) it will be good to try 1.1.11. You can download it at http://www.oldapps.com/VLC_Player.php?old_vlc=6123
Just scroll down on that page and you will see there is a lot of people having problem with the latest (2.0 / 2.1) versions.

And the screenshot you posted earlier, was that captured with vlc (using my program) or the xbmc add-on? Must say I agree with COMPUTEK, your different posts are confusing....

BTW, supersport.com was down for a while a few hours ago, so my program would have reported "no streams available" even if there was live stream available. Always check http://www.supersport.com/live-video in your browser to check if their site is working fine before using my program
