Xbox 360 To Get External Blu-ray Drive

this concept is the same as an addon toaster device for a microwave.

just buy a damn toaster and be done with it.

For me personally, nope. What i like about the PS3 is that no additional add-ons are needed. Everything the 360 *could* do after all peripherals were purchased can be done out of the box. And i still don't see it as "Sony forced me to get BR, wi-fi etc". I knew what i was getting and that is what i wanted - no forcing took place.
This will of course differ as some people can only afford the bare bones arcade 360 etc, so still preference of the individual, but i prefer to have everything in the box and know i don't need to get additional add-ons.

This is where I do think that the 360 has the upper hand!
They are appealing to the mass market.
Sony cant cut their prices, they cant afford it, MS is cutting the prices because they can.

Imo Sony wont cut prices, if they did, they'd start loosing money to such an extent, we'd start seeing the PSN turn into subscription

well u need to sellotape a ps2 to the bottom of the ps3 to make it BC :rolleyes: oh nd the Hdmi cable dont come free with the ps3 last tym i checked ! ;) BTW did the ps3 have vibration out of the box :rolleyes: and in game dash out of the box :rolleyes: ? dnt let me start

Lol, get a life dude.
It came with component, and the difference between component and HDMI? Nada.
There was no rumble available at launch and no speak of bringing it back, so ...erm..no.
In-game dash? What, you're calling firmware upgrades peripherals now? :rolleyes:

I have a full HD set and when i watched my first blu-ray using the PS3 and saw the Quality, i was sold. so from my personal view , yes i wanted blu-ray.

before i bought the PS3 i did my homework, and it was exactly what i needed.

M$ hates Blu-Ray by the sounds of it, hahahahaha!

well now that thats out the way and cleared up, maybe we should get a mod to close and delete this thread, because for a moment there some people were showing there real colours(blu).:D

Anybody wanna buy my HD DVD Player add on for Xbox 360? It would make a GREAT book stop, you may also be a collector of rare things, and need one to go with your Betamax video recorder? Oh, and it also plays HD Dvd's through your xbox 360... PM me if you are interested

i honestly wouldn mind adding a blue ray player for 1500 since i have hd tv. You all know how much a standalone player is
