Xbox One

If I do end up getting the XBOX ONE, I won't exactly be buying hundreds of games... I'll just get the odd occasional one like FIFA or whatever... Mortal Kombat X, Halo maybe.

Just remember that with the Xbox 360 backwards compatability you need to redoenload the game to play it. The game in the drive only gets used for authentication.

Around 6GB per game. Pretty small compared to the size of many game updates on the current gen...

Word to the wise.. Don't argue with Chevron about the Xbox. He will beat you with fandom.

Was a good price for the console. Have both. Xbox played more

There are some awesome console exclusives worth playing.

Just not many on Xbone yet if you ask me. I'd wait a year or two least to see if they more than just brown shooting games.
Yup, the backward compatibility makes it worth while though.

I had both and now only have the xbox. PS4 is too loud for my taste very aggressive fan profile. I can play on the xbox for hours without even knowing there is a fan inside.

Also media capabilities is better on the bone and just plug in any usb3 hdd to expand your storage.

Don't get caught up in the "ps4 has better frame rates etc on cross platform games".

Yes, I know it does because I got caught up in that and wasted money buying a ps4 just to have something "better". There is a difference but believe me you will never notice it unless you put both side by side same game same scene etc.

It all comes down to exclusives. Do you like Forza/Halo/Gears etc or do you like Uncharted/Horizon Zero Dawn etc.

Also PS+ sub is R99 pm, Xbox Gold sub is R50. Both give you free games, if you have a PS Vita the PS+ is absolutely worth it.

Lastly I also feel that the Microsoft servers and overall service is more stable and polished than Sony's.

Had a "warranty" claim on an xbox controller the analog felt funny to me but worked 100% so I went online did a chat with Microsoft support and within two days a courier arrived with a bran new controller and I only had to give them the old one to take with.

Within two weeks of getting my PS4 the one controller rattled like it was going to shake itself apart and then it stopped there was no rumble whatsoever. So now it was a genuine warranty issue tried the same with Sony and was told sorry it's a carry in warranty I have to take the console to Part Serve for inspection and testing etc.

The closest Part Serve is 250km from me so after a long story and a few tweets they finally decided to come and pick up the controller. Waited two weeks and a few phone calls and the new controller was sent to me.

So yeah my 2c, get which ever one you like more there are pros and cons to both

For that price hell yeah, I've still got my old 360 for some of the games that aren't bc, but at the rate they are coming out soon I won't need it. Also the PS4 might have slightly better resolution but the digital games are more expensive, you've got to deal with partserv for warranty, it's only getting PS2 BC but you'll have to buy them again, PS+ is expensive, it's media capabilities aren't great on the plus side you get 180 pixels more for that premium

If it were just that I'd agree with you. Look at the exclusives though.

While Microsoft only really does 1st and 3rd shooters, sometimes they do other things, it's just not enough variety. That's their real problem. They don't have their Last of Us, or Detroit or anything even remotely close to the David Kage type of cinematic experiences. Nor JRPGS, or strategy games. PS4 is also killing with indies.

So while mr phoenix thinks I'm a fanboy because my opinion is different from his, I want microsoft to do better. It's always bad when there's only one major player in any industry.

But come on, Mircosoft needs to give us games where you can do more than shoot at things with big explosions.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is exclusive for a full year before the PS4 will see it.

In any event, your taste in exclusives might differ to somebody else's. You can't generalise, it's a poor argument...

All these debates on what is better...

For me it came down to 3 things
- Friends with the same console
- Exclusives
- Features (besides gaming)
- Controller
- Game selection

XB1 was the one for me due to personal preference.
If someone else prefers PS4 for whatever reason, so be it.

I went from PC gaming to XB1 and couldn't be happier.

I have noticed this, PS4 fanboy deluxe. He is to PS4 as what Postman is to Plasma.

Yeah since Phil has taken over they definitely have been trying harder.

I got the xbox one, and got myself the gold subscription for one year from the cheapcodes website, which gives you a couple of free games per month. If I'm not mistaken, Microsoft have said all future xbox 360 free with gold games will be backward compatible on the xbox one

Yep. But you will have to redeem your download via the Xbox website, as games in the 360 store will not appear in the X1 store. It will then appear as Ready to Download on your X1...

Yeah, when you can't substantiate your argument attack the man.

Real mature.

Yeah you are one to talk. reading through the forums your primary argument is PS4 is better because of higher resolution and frame rates, you dont really have anything more, oooo and the excellent and wonderful PS4 exclusives.
It does not take a genius to see you are biased.....

Yeah I use my browser to redeem them :) it is a bit silly though.

Or maybe read my previous post of this thread where I talk about the games. You know the main reason people get consoles in the first place.

The framerate and resolution I mention because, even though I don't really play multiplats, I know that lot's of people do.

So yes. I'm soooo biased :erm:

Lol at you fanboys.

You got attached to the 360, where it was the home of the multiplats, now that's changed to the PS4 everyone is biased.

Freaking hilarious.
