Xbox Series X / S

I have something to get off my chest. I am DONE being quiet about it.

HALO ODST IS THE BEST HALO GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

phweew.....much better. carry on

anyone struggling with atmos audio delay?
I finally got a sound bar setup with atmos support (cheap but better than my TV) and it sounds much better, but there is a horrible delay.

Connection is from Xbox to TV, TV to soundbar through EARC, have set everything to passthrough, but the delay is pretty bad
Am considering getting a splitter type thing to take the xbox connection and split it so that it goes directly to the TV and soundbar
Connect Xbox to Soundbar directly.

Your TV is the problem, it's trying to process the audio causing the delay.

e-ARC will only not delay for any source on the TV itself...as in the Apps running directly on it. Any external device running "through" the TV will cause the delay hence the need to go directly.

This makes me sad, I thought the pass-through option would do just that, stop the TV processing.
What is weird is that from another media box from sky, I have no issues. I looked online and possibly others also have this issue with the Xbox and atmos setting

The soundbar is somewhat budget, only 1 HDMI port so I cant go directly to soundbar from xbox, cant connect it to TV then.

I found what looked like a splitter, but it is rather pricey and might just be better to get a better soundbar.

I mean in a perfect world where the TV and soundbar are on the exact same e-Arc version it’s meant to work properly but I haven’t personally done that to see just have the same problem with my older TV and newer sound bar.

Worse still in my case both are LG and don’t play along.

But it’s perfect connected directly, so my PS5 is connected to the TV instead and just set to stereo.

Splitters were cheap back in the 1080p days but still had optical audio then. Now they need to have all the same standards as the source otherwise you’ll just have the same problem.

What TV and soundbar is it? There may be some ways to make it at least less.

TCL C645k and ULTIMEA Poseidon D60 (I know, its not great, but I bought it on impulse as it was £100)

Give this a try

Thanks! Im definitely not an audio expert or even remotely close to understanding how it all works.
I think changing to PCM would negate the atmos functionality though.

Its irritating that it works on everything but the xbox, which I use for media playing as well. If I select dolby digital it works fine, but doesnt sound nearly as good as the atmos

Assassins Creed Mirage worth R370?
Haven’t played these in a while. Origins was just too long for me

Hi guys and gals, i will be getting an xbox series s soon. I would like to know what exactly the difference between Xbox core and ultimate game pass besides the price is. Because there is a huge difference in price.

Core is for people that bring their own games and basically just wanna do multiplier.

Pretty sure you looking for Standard vs Ultimate if you want "free" games?
