It sucks so much. Game Pass is already so much more expensive than PS Plus and you don't get any discounts on it.

I really hope enough people cancel to get MS to lower their prices again because currently it's ridiculous.

I've still own multiple games on XBox that I haven't played yet that I will play in the coming year but most of my game time will switch to the PS5 unfortunately.

So far, 3rd party games are normally cheaper on Xbox, esp during sales, so not getting rid of mine soon. Xbox still stays my fav cause of quick resume and all that.

But yeah current GamePass price not worth what I get out of it. If you look at game prices that R350 p/m can buy you a game a month if you look at sales and oldies, and 4 months = new game. <-- GP value does not compute.

Look at what a series X is going for now, close to ps5 pro money for some shady imports. Only official restock locally was game4u for the digital series X and it was 14999
 
So today was going to be my last R199 payment for Game Pass. On the screen it said, next bill R349 on 2025-12-23. So I switched off recurring billing. Little did I know that it hasn't gone off yet today. So now I'm without Game Pass. If I want to renew it now then it says R349. I basically lost it a month early.

Guess I won't be finishing Avowed.

I'm about 25 hours in or so. It's good but I'm not going to continue with the R349. I was starting to get a bit bored.

Level design is exceptional and the game is very pretty. However as much fun as it is finding loot in all kinds of secret places, the actual loot is uninteresting. The skills and abilities are also very basic. It's more of an action game than an RPG. Especially coming from the Pillars of Eternity games that I played this year.

I would have finished it and thought it was a good game but not great. If Game Pass ever lowers their prices I will pick it up again.

It will most probably drop to GP premium at some stage, so there's that if you can wait.

I don't like too heavy RPG's, prefer the light versions that don't require me to think too much.

Avowed had many QOL settings that just made it a joy to play.

My only complaint was it was too static, nothing moved not the people in the cities or anything else for that matter. Oh and choices made zero diff.

Normally, RPGs feel lived in, not Avowed. Not a bad game, and I could spot the ending a mile away. Was ok to play once but I will never revisit so it was a perfect GP rent-a-game material.
 
Gampass ultimate gave me COD, Pacific Drive and Total Chaos this month.
Let alone the other stuff this year I played or still to get to.

Still Worth it! Though I still haven't been billed new price.

Bought Dying light the Beast on xb black friday sale. :)

Khazan at R500 odd is looking mighty tempting too.............

pffft. kazan is too hard for you :p

but if you get it at least play on OG difficulty one called expert ingame.
 
imho Khazan is like that very 1st time of playing dark souls all over again.

It will **** you up. Especially the face rollers and button mashers. It requires you to learn the systems, and use them - look up the bosses, dress for the occasion. You know the souls 101 basics.

I'm about 50 hours in and only now arrived at the witch, not sure how far in that is. *shrugs*.

The Outer Worlds are bit busier and I must remember more things but I am enjoying it, I really need a long session to get really going but work and my social life is not allowing that.

Outer Worlds is good, just did another playthrough so I can start on the second one...
