Xbox Series X / S

Just bought myself a Series X. Won’t be able to play until I’ve wrapped up two projects I’m working on, but one thing I’m already so disappointed with is the download speed.

Even wired up to 500Mbps Openserve fibre, this thing mostly downloads at 50-100Mbps with occasional brief periods of 200-300Mbps.

The speed test in the network settings is even slightly over 500Mbps.

I get the same thing. 200 Mbit with Octotel/CoolIdeas, and downloads mostly bounce around 50 - 100 Mbps. Wired and speedtests are all at 200Mbps. I think Microsoft's local Azure CDN throughput just isn't great.

Download speeds from XBL have never been great. I think they prioritise latency over throughput or something.

But strangely it's never been this bad with my 1X, only SX and that's since almost 2 years ago. Had to upgrade to gigabit just to get anything over 500 Mbps...

If you own AC Origin and have GamePass go claim your Delux pack for free

Almost this one as I normally never to check the perks.

I saw some people on reddit complaining about the bans. It looked to me like really dodge sellers doing some tricks.

I'd be pretty bleak if they started banning the Gold -> GPU conversion users. Even more so if it was a console ban too.

I don't think this is working anymore.

The first screen suggests a 12 month upgrade but the second indicates you're back to normal monthly price after the first month.

The majority were Russian peeps who gave their credentials to the 3rd party to login and get the X years of GPU since they couldn't purchase it normally anymore.

Gold conversion is still okay
