Yep. Starfield sales are crazy good considering it's a Gamepass title. Saw a blurp it has outsold BG3.

I could be wrong but I think I saw something like 1 000 000 on Xbox and a 1 000 000 steam before the game released on GamePass on the 6th

I think this will be their play going forward for the first party Xbox games though, early access before release on GamePass, so they getting the monthly sub + the early access fee

I see Phil Spender said the info is outdated, think that's just damage control as some of the info in the leak is dated 2022

The console refresh scheduled for 2024 doesn't seem more powerful than current series s/x besides no disc and 2tb for the series x.

I am excited for the controller though, it looks like an Xbox controller with a pants on

As for the games doesn't phase me much, knowing now what's come is not a biggie for me and to be honest now that I'm playing Starfield I wouldnt mind going back and playing the Bethesda games mentioned in the leak.

Ditto for the Fallout 3 one as well.

Wonder if they will add them to Gamepass, or the mere fact that Bethesda is part of Microsoft both got canceled?
Remember that roadmap is pre-acquisition.

No need to make something intern for easy cash, can just go knock on Phill's door for an advance.

Phil did say that was some old roadmap, maybe they got cancelled or they have been moved out/rescheduled to allocate resources to other projects (Starfield).

There is also that Skyblivion release that I am also looking forward to.

New Microsoft/Activision deal addresses previous CMA concerns in cloud gaming

The sale of Activision’s cloud gaming rights to Ubisoft substantially addresses previous concerns and opens the door to the deal being cleared, the CMA said today.

The CMA considers that the restructured deal makes important changes that substantially address the concerns it set out in relation to the original transaction earlier this year.

In particular, the sale of Activision’s cloud streaming rights to Ubisoft will prevent this important content – including games such as Call of Duty, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft – from coming under the control of Microsoft in relation to cloud gaming. The CMA originally found that Microsoft already has a strong position in cloud gaming services and could have used its control over Activision content to stifle competition and reinforce this position. The new deal instead results in the cloud streaming rights for Activision’s games being transferred to an independent player, Ubisoft, maintaining open competition as the market for cloud gaming develops over the coming years.

While the restructured deal is materially different to the previous transaction and substantially addresses most concerns, the CMA has limited residual concerns that certain provisions in the sale of Activision’s cloud streaming rights to Ubisoft could be circumvented, terminated, or not enforced.

To address these concerns, Microsoft has offered remedies to ensure that the terms of the sale of Activision’s rights to Ubisoft are enforceable by the CMA. The CMA has provisionally concluded that this additional protection should resolve those residual concerns.

The CMA has now opened a consultation, until 6 October, on Microsoft’s proposed remedies.

My series S controller has a a drift on the up down axis. Very annoying. I bought the Xbox last year November from Makro. Are there any warranty on these controllers and how long? And will it cover drifting? I am about to open the controller to see if I can clean it, maybe that will help.
