Was catching up on some Gamescon news and came across this.

I'm no techie but the article does explain in some detail about FSR3 and how it all works.

But what was interesting is that they found a way to "inject" FSR 3 into existing games running on Direct X 11/12 which I think the Xbox series consoles use, boosting framerates (not sure on visual fidelity though) even in older games.

Could this be the reason that Big Phil didn't feel the need for a Mid Gen Refresh console

Anyway link to the AMD Presentation and DF article, make of it what you will but who knows, this might just be what we "prefer FPS over Visual Fidelity" gamers have been looking for.

You need to double tap the sync button to switch it to Bluetooth.

But the dongle is always better.

If you buy 1st party games for console, it includes the PC version as well...
Only noticed now when I clicked on "My Library" in the Xbox app by accident, finding loads of games I bought on console.

On investigation I notice all games with

Shows up in Xbox PC App as Owned.

Including Starfield. <-- hmmm, guess I am not buying that on Steam when on sale then.

Only if it's crossplay, I've been using it for like 2 years.

Yup used it for the Ascent, Aliens FireTeam, Gears, Forza, what peeves me is Minecraft isn't.

They closing all the Deals, ie can only pay for GamePass on xbox.com without discounts.
Once Games for Gold vouchers are up you gonna have to pay full price for it.

ie: End of free ride is in sight.

Edit: R149 p/m is still way better than PS Extra's R179 p/m and still worth it, but its not the R55 p/m I been use to since 2020

I see they still sell Xbox Live Gold 12 months for R599.
Isnt that convertible to Gamepass at 3:2 - meaning 8 months for R599.
Equals R75 a month.

Yep but that's only going to work if you're coming up for renewal soon.

Still have another 2 years left on mine. Who knows what rules will be in place by then so don't want to stockpile Gold codes just yet...
