Nice. I got my 1TB expansion card a while back on Carb for R2.5k if I recall. And at the time, none of the shops had them new for some reason. Big score.I still use my Series S thank you very much - currently playing through the Halo series (co-op with a buddy) and recently finished Prince of Persia on it.
Also, got tired of mediating between the kids on the Series X (they keep bickering about their games being uninstalled) and pulled the trigger on

Edit: and yes, the WD equivalent imported via Amazon.com would have been R500 cheaper but the bickering reached epic levels today and I can't take another two weeks of it - this arrives on Thursday

Lmao how about that. Appreciate it man. In the end I barely touched my PS5 and OLED Switch. Series X all the way. That expansion card was a life saver.

I do feel that if Microsoft wasn’t so intent on selling the expansion cards they could easily build a software solution that manages storage and streams a game NOT on the SSD in the background and offloads something else automatically.
Almost like Apple does with apps. But just locally between external and internal storage.

Dude all they need to do is drop the system check on M.2 on Expansion card adapters allowing us to use normal 4th gen SSD's

Sadly they only work on an Xbox Series Drives so you need to cannibalize one for it to work. Hell even allowing you to replace the drive on the board would work as well.

I just want my plain old 8TB drive not to be so annoying to use by manually needing to move **** around exactly when I want to play something.
I mean FFS they have the tech in Storage Spaces, they just need to enable it.
