I suppose it makes sense to do this, it would definitely increase revenue.

But at the same time, a big draw for it has been day 1 stuff. I am only going to subscribe when there is something I want to jam (like the new Gears game). Without that incentive, they will get less money from me. I'm sure I'm not alone here.

I think that is exactly why they dropping it

Economics only make sense if numbers stay subb'ed. The join to play for one month doesn't exactly work esp when people use them 15 day trails to play the game and leave.

Edit: fking lol they even dropped the 15 days to 14 now :D

And that's premium not ultimate, premium has not had day one games
 
XBOX is reportedly sending surveys to some users about consoles. There is a lot of talk about if the next XBOX should have a disc drive, but there is another clear question in the survey. It asks whether the user wants games that are only available on that device.

There is a future chance that the Helix might have exclusive games of its own.

All that said, I don't know how accurate this news is since it only has a single source. I have read elsewhere that others have received it too. The vast majority of questions that are already known have solutions on PC. Everything from Razer, SteelSeries, Corsair, etc., even Windows itself with Dynamic Lighting. I am not fond of those types of software, and most of the "moment" capturing software is taxing.

They should just allow Helix to openly support software like OpenRGB and OBS by means of integration and whitelisting. It is without a doubt that Helix will be a locked-down system. It is a container for Microsoft's gaming ecosystem.
 
I feel sorry for the people who got laid off.

But lets make no mistake here - what exactly did Halo Studios bring to the table? They got a free ride for years because they had control over a huge IP they were incapable of delivering on.

Halo Infinite was **** and the best they could do after that was a remaster.

They should have been one of the first studios shut down. Absolute dead weights.
