Yeah Pro's the ticket, you can't really go wrong with it.

360's got a ton of great games out already and more on the horizon, even if you're looking for the more mainstream type thing, they're making a big move into social games, like Scene It, LIPS etc to complement the stellar "hardcore" catalogue.

I've got an XPS gen 2 with an Nvidia 256meg. I'm very lazy so things like adjusting graphics, shaders blah blah blah gets on my nerves . I'm getting older, so the less buttons I have to remember to press the better.

on the point of my xbox, had a bit of a runaround trying to score one from CNA canal walk (not QUITE payday yet). bottom line, they don't have 60gb pros, or 20gb pro's, or anything really. just arcades, and they could not tell me when they will be getting more stock (LOVELY)... so mebe next weekend.

speaking of which... got my xbox (YEAH BABY, AT LAST!) and i was wondering if people still play gears of war?

where can i find some general FAQ stuff on the box? are there any caveats that i need to know about e.g.

so far, i only have crackdown, halo3 and DMV4 (holy crap it is stylish), but getting some more older games soon

Yes it Does, that's the going rate these days.

The best I've seen on a Pro is R50 off that at HiFi Corp which isn't much of a deal.

well, the only problem would be that you cannot use that 320GB hdd for anything other than storage of media... you cannot use it on the xbox as a "save game"/"system" hdd

@Joe - you can't use just any old HDD you have to use the proprietary Xbox 360 drives, they're unique.

If you're looking at spending R3k then just ge the pro - you also get the headset , and 60Gb should be ample for a South African

CoD4 is a good game. Personally I prefer prefer Battlefield Bad Company - the international servers are actually playable so you don't need to look for locals.

I'd say it's the obligation of every 360 owner to play Gears of War, Halo3 and Crackdown, but hey, that's just me If you like racing GRiD's bautiful and a blast, Forza is slightly more technical.

If you want something more arcadey - kameo is fun and Viva Pinata is a hidden Jem.

You have to get COD4, but if you are going to play Single Player only at first, I STRONGLY suggest that you play Halo3 first and then COD4!

pretty cool so far yes but... and this is a big butt... i cannot bloody well get used to the controls!!!!!! (had the xbox what, 2 days now?)

in halo it is just ridiculous, i'm flailing around like a fish on dry land, aiming and shooting in all directions. i think i need a few more hours of getting used to the controls...
