I will most likely also only get to play tomorrow afternoon, depending if I can get all the parts I need.
 
I loved the WC series. Also I wish they'd make another Freelancer or similar type game. Love my space trading/pirate games.

Back on topic: Do you know if you can play XCOM in offline mode? Still waiting for my internet at home but I can copy the game files at a friend.

You need to be online to verify the game files.

Should play fine offline once that is done though.
 
sigh ... i havent had a go either, work just not playing nice with me today!!! hopefully i'll get some free time

Good times! I can do that when I copy the files across. I'll make sure I can play it offline before I leave his spot to avoid tears and much gnashing of teeth when I get home.
 
FYI for anyone who has not got their game yet: There is a ~1.8GB patch already.
 
Still waiting for mine. Also havent figured out how I am going to dl the freaking 1.8GB patch on 3g yet...
 
Maybe enable on steam and take to a mate? Or buy one of those Cell C prepaid late night surfer things?
 
Does anyone know if something is wrong with Steam? Im trying to download the update but the download rate is intermmitent. It goes up to 100kps, then drops to zero. It's been going up and down like that for the last 2.5 hours.

Is it just me, or is there a setting or something that's not right on steam? This should have downloaded by now. grrr
