I was given this little gadget about three or four years ago, and I tried it out and it worked perfectly... now I have unpacked it to convert an old 21inch screen into a TV for the wife to watch news in the kitchen and it is now on PAL-B/K and I can't get it to switch to PAL-I. The manual says I must press the SYS button, but for the life of me I can't find the "SYS" button.

I can't find XGR on the internet, nor can I find anything about this product. The closest I come when typing "XGR Super TV Box PT620" into Google is a site about the PT-620 Wind Turbine. No help.

Even the www.xgr.co.za website does not exist as advertised on the back of the box.

Anybody, somebody, please tell me you have some advice for this product...

Pal-B/DK (Belgium/Denmark )products are used in Zimbabwe not South Africa we use the Pal-I(Italy) standard and cannot be switched as this is hardcoded on the unit from the manufacturer
Our vendors KWorld www.kworld.com.tw has made this mistake many times over

Just for the record PAL-I has nothing to do with Italy and not used in Italy but the UK, SA, HK ;)

schurtek, do you have pictures of the device (top, bottom, back)? It's probably some rebranded device from asia you are gonna battle to find info on.

It used to work... perfectly... and my TV can be switched between PAL-BK and PAL-I.

I was recommended to buy a KWorld unit by a friend of mine who has one... but you guys don't stock them anymore... so I am buying the Mecer LT291HD from Mustek.

I will take pics and upload them tomorrow. Hunted the net... all I could find was that XGR in SA and CHINA both closed down. I wonder why??? *sarcasm*
